Multi-step poetry writing
Multistep group creation of high-quality poetry with rhyme and meter.
A good poem cannot be written with just one stroke; directly asking AI, "Can you help me write a poem?" is not elegant, and generally results in low-quality doggerel. Here, I will teach you how to guide AI to write a good poem.

0. Goal
The goal this time is to generate poems, mainly Song lyrics.
Since the emergence of DeepSeek, AI has improved the quality of writing in Chinese, making it more down-to-earth. However, to write poetry that fully meets one's wishes still requires considerable effort in training.

1. Collecting Theme Imagery
More important than the metrics is the imagery, so first try to collect as many different descriptions of imagery as possible.
Prompt:
Imitate the titles of Song lyrics or Yuan tunes, and create 100 short phrases of 3-5 characters that can inspire poetry or song creation. These phrases do not need to target specific titles or tunes but are meant to summarize and suggest moods. They can also be mixed and categorized appropriately based on different themes or styles.
1.1. Expanding More Imagery
The above is not enough, so I added some more.
Prompt:
Expand these inspirational phrases, adding a few more to each category without repetition.
2. Organizing Results
GPT is better at text processing, so use GPT.
Prompt:
Organize the content in the attachment into a complete and unified categorized list, with words in each category separated only by spaces, not line breaks.
3. Recommended Titles
I did not check traditional websites but let the AI recommend commonly used titles directly.
Prompt:
List ten Song lyric titles with metrics that are within 40 characters, indicating which style they are suitable for expressing themes.
3.1. Clarifying Metrics
Metrics can also be input separately, but it seems that the organization done by SD isn't problematic.
Prompt:
Here are 10 Song lyric titles; please list their most commonly used versions of complete metric patterns and rhyme rules, indicating tones, rhymes, and phrasing. If there are parallel structures, please indicate them in parentheses.
The return should not contain any unnecessary explanations unrelated to titles and metrics, with the title names formatted as H1 in Markdown, and other content in plain text.
3.2. Separate Metrics
For titles with more characters, they can be requested separately.
Prompt:
Please list the most commonly used version of the complete metric patterns and rhyme rules for the Song lyric title 【Shui Diao Ge Tou】, without omissions, indicating tones, rhymes, and phrasing. If there are parallel structure or other rules, please note them in parentheses. Do not list the original lyrics.
4. Stage Collection Results
After multiple attempts, content separated by Markdown format titles is easier to pick for random selection.
5. Selecting Imagery and Titles
This step is quite important; most AIs are not very strong in the "selecting random items" aspect. If the Temperature cannot be adjusted, it is easy to get the same results repeatedly with multiple refreshes.
Therefore, I added stringent random prompts here. Please test multiple models comprehensively; DS's random effect seems relatively better, although it still hasn't reached satisfactory.
Of course, if the random effect is not good, you can manually modify it or change to other models.
Prompt:
Note: This requirement is for randomly selecting and synthesizing text tasks, not for creative tasks.
What you need to do:
1. Select the main imagery: Randomly choose one imagery phrase from the attachment's list 【Important: Please make a completely random selection】 (Please simulate a real-world random event generation mechanism, each time answering: generate 20 possible options -> choose using an unpredictable quantum random algorithm -> ensure the final results differ by more than 80% in 3 consecutive trials -> output the final choice)
2. Select complementary imagery. Based on the previously randomly selected main imagery, deliberately select 2-3 imagery phrases to complement it, preferably across categories, but as harmonizing as possible without too much contradiction.
3. Select a title: Choose a title suitable for expressing the combination of imagery selected earlier from another attachment. If there are multiple titles in the attachment, select the 【most】 suitable one (just like when selecting the main imagery, pay attention to randomness); if there is only one title in the attachment, use it directly.
4. List the chosen imagery words above and copy the selected title's name and metric requirements. If there are additional descriptions or special rules in the attachment, also copy them.
5. Finally, return a text format result, separated only by line breaks, no markdown format, and no additional explanations. The format is as follows:
Main imagery: [the imagery randomly selected previously]
Complementary imagery: [imagery1]、[imagery2]....
Title: [selected title]
Metric requirements: [completely copy the requirements of the selected title and any related special instructions from the attachment]
6. Generating Writing Prompts
This step does not directly allow the AI to write poems but generates a writing prompt. The purpose is to explore a universal writing requirement prompt, so that in the future, just changing the theme will suffice, and it can also be directly used in Feishu multidimensional tables for bulk writing of poetry.
Prompt:
Note: This requirement is for drafting prompts that guide other AI large models' creation, not for actual creative content.
Please create a perfect, detailed, excellent prompt according to the following steps:
You need to include the entire text content from the attachment in your prompt:
Require the AI to strictly comply with metrics and rhymes, with no repetition of rhyme endings except for repeated rhymes.
【Especially important】 require the AI to have substance, primarily expressing emotions through objects, able to convey genuine feelings; it is better to sacrifice a few imagery than to force a rough assembly while ignoring a clear theme. Make sure the theme is clear, do not write it as a completely picturesque poem. Prompt the AI not to mechanically apply imagery words but to break down and understand them before writing in accordance with the imagery.
Require the AI's written words to carry an ancient flavor and may use a small amount of classical references, but preferably not include obscure words or rare allusions.
Require the AI's writing not to be too blunt, should be beautiful, but should not be overly ornate, striving to be as graceful and poetic as possible.
For the output of the prompt:
When writing this prompt, please suggest methods as much as possible, do not propose overly labor-saving specific creative result suggestions, but let the creative AI understand, analyze, and think for itself.
In your response, please return the plain text format of the prompt directly, without unnecessary explanations. Other than punctuation, line breaks, and tone symbols, try to avoid other formatting or emoji.
7. Poetry Generator
This step officially starts the generation, either introducing the previously debugged "Song lyric creation requirements" document or not, then directly copying the previously generated prompt.
