Two-dimensional galaxy

Are you ready to create a new galaxy around the black hole?

I have created a new galaxy system using AI, where you can either establish your own galaxy or destroy it; everything is decided by you and physics.

This is the third installment of the black hole series.

Part One: Gravitational Slingshot

You are the pilot of an interstellar spacecraft, and with only a small amount of energy left, you need to use the gravity of a black hole to perform a slingshot maneuver to adjust your trajectory and reach your target wormhole.

Part Two: Escaping the Black Hole

You are a sentient space body, but you are trapped within the gravitational pull of a black hole. You can only seek suitable positions and movement strategies to help your children (intelligent particles) escape into the free space as much as possible.

Part Three: Virtual Galaxy

This is a free space, with a randomly massed black hole in the center. You just need to draw a line segment to launch a new celestial body at the corresponding angle and initial speed.

The rules for objects in this two-dimensional galaxy are:

  • The central black hole is the only coordinate reference. It can consume any celestial bodies that encounter it and absorb their mass to increase its own gravitational pull.

  • The celestial bodies you launch have random masses and can affect each other. If they collide, their masses and directions of motion will be combined.

  • As the game progresses, the mass limit of the celestial bodies you can develop will continue to increase.

  • Since the black hole is the only stationary gravitational source in this space, no celestial body can escape permanently; it will always return.

This game is similar to a playground; it does not have a clear objective. However, there are several suggested gameplay elements that you can try to treat as unique or temporary goals:

  1. Try to let as many celestial bodies as possible orbit around the black hole, maintaining a stable galaxy. You will soon find that it's not as easy as you might think.

  2. Maintain a celestial body as large as possible within the screen limits. When its mass approaches the black hole but remains stable, you will find the motion of other celestial bodies becomes more interesting.

  3. Use new celestial bodies to affect others, speeding them up, changing their orbits, clearing obstacles, or guiding them to fall faster into the dark embrace of the black hole.

  4. Keep bombarding the black hole, feeding it more and more, and changing the trajectories of the surrounding stable celestial bodies until they ultimately fall in.

This is a very simplified two-dimensional galaxy, but you can still get a lot of interesting experiences, such as two originally stable orbits affecting each other and being destroyed due to intersection; small celestial bodies easily having their paths altered by larger celestial bodies; or even the massive celestial bodies you carefully nurtured ultimately unable to escape their doom…

You can start or stop your game at any time, or just let it run quietly. As long as your browser can handle it, you can see how complex and stable a galaxy you can create. But believe me, "stability" isn't that easy to maintain.

This game is developed on the basis of the first two games and has been collaboratively written by multiple models including Gemini, Claude, and Grok. The link for generating the Refly canvas is here: https://refly.ai/share/canvas/can-qzqbh6tg6iiko88tp1vkr29j
